April 5, 201610 yr Hi there, After doing REX updates, I decided to delete the shaders folder (at C:\Users\<YOU>\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\Shaders). Lots of rebuilding time going on, so I let it go. Eventually after rebooting and loading p3d I was able to go to any airport of choosing but only in the default f22. When clicking on the vehicle menu, at first the HD was going going going(!) but nothing showing up as listed. I tried again rebooting and loading a couple more times but the same result occured. I have waited even 20 mins but nothing showing in the vehicle menu. Now when I load p3d and go to the vehicle menu, same thing but my HD isnt doing anything discernible. It's not frozen, it's just that I suddenly have no other a/c(!). Any ideas please? Thanks AMD 5830X Nvidia RTX 3060 Win 11
April 5, 201610 yr Author Okay, as an update, I also tried: -deleting the p3d.cfg file and rebuilding--no change -uninstalling client and scenery and then re-installing--no change aargh! I can't bear the idea of a complete reinstall with all the addons : / Is there any hope?! AMD 5830X Nvidia RTX 3060 Win 11
April 5, 201610 yr Author Yes, that's the strange thing...all a/c are there unchanged from before. I can load any scenery and fly perfectly fine but only in the f22. This situation sounds identical to mine and didn't end so well: http://www.avsim.com/topic/432117-p3d-select-vehicle-gremlin/ AMD 5830X Nvidia RTX 3060 Win 11

You said this happened after a Rex update, anything on the Rex forum that sounds similar?
April 6, 201610 yr Moderator Check your simobjects.cfg file and be sure it's not corrupted and the path's are correct. Have you used the EMT for any installs? Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
April 6, 201610 yr Sure you just don't have the Favourites star activated (an no Favourites in there)? gb. YSSY. April 6, 201610 yr Author You said this happened after a Rex update, anything on the Rex forum that sounds similar? No sign of anything like this on their support forum...seems somehow unlikely that Rex would impact aircraft. Sure you just don't have the Favourites star activated (an no Favourites in there)? yup, checked this--nothing comes up either with favorites star checked or unchecked. Weird thing is that the menu is not frozen--I can click on cancel and it takes me back to the regular scenario setup page. Check your simobjects.cfg file and be sure it's not corrupted and the path's are correct. Have you used the EMT for any installs? Yes I use EMT for installs but haven't had this problem before. I looked over the simobjects.cfg file and everything looked consistent. How would I know if it's been corrupted (can I delete it and will it rebuild?) or if there is a problem with it? Thanks for the ideas guys! Also, I did a repair option via the installer, still no change. AMD 5830X Nvidia RTX 3060 Win 11
April 7, 201610 yr This also happened to me since 3.2 but it went away after reloading P3D i think. I Was having major P3D CTD's and that was fixed by reinstalling GSX Addon Manager. It's possible that fixed it, but I can't confirm.
