Cruising with a P-38 in the Caribbean

The plane is the fantastic Milviz P-38 and the scenery is ORBX Global and Vector with a bit of photo-scenery and payware thrown in for good measure.

 

Our first port of call will be St. Barth. Or at least I thought it would

 

Luckily the fog has cleared and we can see St. Barth below us

Ok, I made it in one piece, but I came in too fast, so I overshot the runway J

 

 

 

I think this is Mustique, if I can remember correctly

 

 

 

I think I have evolved into a ship-spotter

 

We have left Saba behind us

 

Ok boys, now comes the dull part: landing at St. Maarten. When KLM 747s can do that, I can do it too

 

 

 

Hmmh.. I have the feeling I don’t really belong here

Rubbish! That old warbird has earned her place to land at any airfield she can manage .

 

You asked if you were ready for this - well ,the question should have been was the airfield ready for YOU - Hehe! They won't have seen any P-38s I'll wager.

Memories... This was the plane of my first round-the-world flight: Bernd Drefahls model with FS98, and then David Copleys model with FS9. So nice to see her again!
