May 12, 201610 yr Hi all,I'm planning one of my occasional trips to the United States in September, with the intention of visiting the USAF Museum at Wright Patt. From what I can tell, the new building will be opening in June, which will bring the experimental and Presidential aircraft collection over to the museum proper ( as opposed to the active side of the airfield ). Time to make that long-anticipated visit, I think. There is one aeroplane there that I absolutely must see before I expire !I'll be driving from Pittsburgh to the museum, and I'd appreciate recommendations as follows:a ) General advice about the museum.b ) Hotels nearby.c ) Places to eat in the evening ( or not to eat, if advisable ).Any and all advice, recommendations, thoughts and musings will be very gratefully received. Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org

May 14, 201610 yr I live in Cincinnati Ohio which is less than an hours drive away. I've been to the museum several times. Your visit will be well worth it. If you're into radio control planes they usually hold major events out at the museum field around the time of your visit. One event was for giant scale. Another event was for jets only with many nations represen
May 14, 201610 yr Author Not really into RC models as such, but I'd be very interested if something like that was going on while I was there. I'll keep an eye out for it - thank you. Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org
