Scan do a very useful installation insurance too Rick. Costs very little, but if you balls up your component installing it you're covered.

These days I'm swaying more toward Amazon though, as I have Amazon Prime so get free next day delivery. The only reason I opted for Amazon Prime, was so I could get the latest season of Vikings earlier than the History Channel.

Wasn't pleased with Scan recently though. A monitor I ordered arrived with a dirty boot print on the box. It rang alarm bells immediately. Sure enough, when I opened the box and fired up the super posh monitor, the screen was shattered. Took ages to get my money back from Scan and no apology.

I went to Novatech for the G-Skill. We'll see how good they are.

Novatech

I ordered a piece of hardware from them and ParcelForce whom they use, failed to deliver at the designated time despite the tracking saying the item was out on delivery, and ParcelForce's depot manageress was supposed to update the delivery status and did not. Swore I'd never use Novatech again despite the SSD being a good bargain. I gave Novatech a poor review.

Sorry about that, Ron, but was not to know that you'd be ordering from them.

Have used them some time ago. No issues at all. Seemed fine.

No matter which supplier you use, there will always be someone that had a bad experience.

OCUK used to be regarded as a bit dodgy some years ago. At the time I had no issues with them. These days they seem to be top-notch. And my daughter, despite being grown up and 23... appreciates the bag of sweets they leave in the box.

Can't remember who it is, Scan or OCUK, but I like being able to track the driver via his GPS. I'm usually standing in the window with my arms folded just as he pulls up... he thinks I'm a bit weird. I am!
