How to increase FO voice volume?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Starting again with FS2CREW Q400 on my new computer, the FO voice is quite low compared to the Q400 ambiant sounds. I have difficulty to hear the FO well.

How can I increase FO sound volume? I already set "voice " setting to max in FSX UI but it seems it does change nothing.

Thanks for help,

Pierre

Hi Pierre,

You need to set the FS2Crew volume control.

It's directly connected to the Dash 8's audio panel in the cockpit.

Twist the SERV/INT volume knob on the Captain's audio control panel and make sure it's unmuted (the INT slider in the VHF display box should be GREEN, not white).

Also, since this is a turbo prop, it's naturally loud.  You may want to use a headset, or turn down the volume of the Engine sounds.

Cheers,

Huh, didn't look at this serv/int volume knob on the captain's audio. Good to know, cause my issue is the opposite, I find the FO to sound too loud, along with the rest of the flight crew. I will tune it down a bit in my case.
