July 25, 20169 yr Hey guys, I've got a Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 coming tomorrow and I'm currently using an Asus GTX 970. I know many people use the 970 and was wondering if there was much interest in an XP10 comparison between these cards? I've got all the usual addons so if people are interested let me know
July 25, 20169 yr I had a 30 fps increase going from GTX970 to GTX1080 @ 1920x1080 then shifted up to an Ultra Wide screen 34" 3440x1440 and still have a 15 fps increase on my GTX970 with higher settings
July 25, 20169 yr Yes please, definitely interested in both numbers in different scenarios and personal feedback.

If your 1080p numbers represent a 30% increase and your 3440x1440 numbers represent a 50% increase, that's nice to know. Especially if it means the higher resolution is now playable when it wasn't before.
July 25, 20169 yr Yes please. I'm on the fence between a 980ti or a 1070GTX. I also plan to upgrade my monitor to a 34" widescreen at some point too... Bit, I'm running P3D, not X-Plane. There's no meaningful performance difference between these cards except: 1) with very high settings when local frame buffer is overflowed on the 6GB 980 Ti where it would not be on the 1070 2) when running VR I say this having owned both cards and performing extensive performance analysis on the two.
