Jetline Systems Ready to Ship - 6700K

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

Just got word that my systems are just about ready to ship, and I have a date with Ken for Wednesday of next week to integrate the new computers into the mix. A couple of things he told me about the setup that I think is going to take my simming to new heights.

1. He told me he was running P3D at FULL MAX settings!

2. The setup is able to maintain 60 FPS and has shown no sign of dipping down below that

3. He ran overnight flight testing with no VAS issues, (thanks to no V/C and/or 2D cockpit).

The setup: 1-10 core CPU setup, 3-6700K setups, 3-4700K setups: Seven computers run via network with NO V/C or 2D panels, P3D3 is run via Flight Deck Solutions 737NG and Sim-Avionics interface software.

I believe they installed The following 3rd. party software into P3D

Hi,

Right now I've been without my sim for a long while, so I plan on using it with my 4k's until the itch is gone. Going through flightsim withdrawals. I'm not sure yet, it depends on if I can justify the cost for Natvis over Jetline here in Tampa.

Haven't made up my mind yet.

Hi,

I did, but my understanding was I'd have to purchase more than one software package to get what I want.

Jetline offer projector setup and blending? I didn't know that. Have you looked at Fly Elise?

Mike,

Did you have to do any special wiring to your home to carry the load from the computers, monitors, etc.?

Hi,

Just had the electricians get done running 14 outlets on three 20 amp breakers for the seven computers, three 4ks, and the flightdeck. Also had a 2ton Split A/C unit put in to cool the room.

Hi Tim,

Yeah Ken is a great guy, right now he is working out an issue with one of the computers the others are all set. They were able to overclock the 6700K's to 4.6, Sweet. Looking forward to getting back to simming.

A very nice setup indeed! Being that you are in Tampa, where thunderstorms are common, do you have good protection against power line surges, and/or outages? You can, of course, protect each PC individually with a good UPS - put in a multiple computer system like yours, protection of the entire AC supply upstream of your sim room might be better.

Hi,

I pay FPL for power surge protection coming into the house, but I also have in home surge protectors.

I kept wondering while reading through this thread, what takes longer to start up from cold and dark, your simulation system or the 737NG you are simulating with it?

I can sense your excitement about receiving the computers and am looking forward to your first test flight report.
