November 2, 20169 yr So I too have this issue. Which I will admit ###### me off so much that i stopped flying for quite a while. I'm trying to get back into flying however i am still getting freezes. I think I might have found the issue for me.... Google Chrome. Last night I did a flight from Sydney to LA. after 10 hours. I woke up and found that the flight did not freeze. Then i thought i might divert to San Fran, which is where i was wanting to go yesterday but could not because it froze. So i opened PFPX so I could get the waypoints to manually insert into 777. Then I opened flightradar24 to see what runway they are currently landing on. That is when i noticed on my primary monitor that P3D had froze. Then restarted by computer and started the same flight from Aust to LA. When airborne. i opened PFPX no freeze. ... Then I opened Google Chrome and looked around in google maps. FREEZE . I am not sure how to fix this. I might try to replicate this to see if firefox also cause this.. Otherwise I might have to upgrade to a better cpu? Regards, Chris
November 4, 20169 yr If you look at Process Explorer and compare Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox, you will find that Google Chrome uses the most virtual memory and Firefox uses the least. Dugald Walker
March 17, 20188 yr Hi I have the freeze problem with my PMDG aircraft. The display section in my fsx.cfg appears as THERMAL_VISUALS=0 [DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770.0] Mode=1920x1080x32 Anisotropic=1 AntiAlias=1 [CONTROLS] Controls_Default=Standard Where exactly do I put the extra line and does the extra line "VideoMemoryOverride=536870912" suit my NVIDIA device? I'm a bit of a novice with all this so any help would be appreciated. Ray Raymond Smyth
