Bell 429 helicopter released

Featured Replies

A new Bell 429 helicopter has been released here in the library. I took it for a quick spin and I really like it! If anyone remembers the H&S Designs EC145 helicopter, this new one is on the same level of detail as that one.

The file names are:

bell_429_base_pack.zip, bell_429_offshore_pack.zip, bell_429_law_enforcement_pack.zip, bell_429_hems_pack.zip, bell_429_civil_pack.zip, and bell_429_paint_kit.zip.

Yes I downloaded almost 1GB of Bell 429 bits earlier, and find it a compelling distraction from all the other lovely FS9 goodies recently installed!

It has a splendid VC I see.

Definitely worth exploring at leisure.

Definitely worth exploring at leisure

... as I have been doing betwixt:

It's an interesting take on the office: the 2D panel is, charitably, a series of popups.

The real deal is in the VC.

Someone with a yen for 2D panel work might find some interesting bits to play around with in there....

There are two.

By the author's own admission, the systems are a best-guess effort.

So there are anomalies, like having to save the startup flight from a running Cessna, and so on.

But there are great touches in the model, for example a fully animated rotor mast and collective blade motion.

And it's a great overall visual model.

I intend touring the French Alps with it before the northern winter sets in.
