I just purchased FSX-SE but all I like to do is download it and install  it after I add a larger SSD drive.

 

The only option I see is d/l and install in a drive of my choice. Anyone know how I can just d/l the sim for later

install???

Don't download it until you're ready to install it. It stays in your library once you've made the purchase. It's all done through the Steam app.
