October 29, 20169 yr I have to admit that the more I fly in Alaska, the more addictive this gets Wien Alaska Air never flew Ju 52s, they used Ford Trimotors among other planes in the 1930s in Alaska. But as I have flown Fords fairly often these last days, I slapped the original NC-9418 Wien Trimotor registration on a Ju 52. Now Wien flies Junkers too. Todays trip will bring us from Anchorage to Gulkana (PAGK), which lies some 190 m NE of Anchorage. Our cargo is a load of deer Reindeer to be more precise J The old lady takes slowly and gracefully to the skies. The weather forecast didn’t look too bad, but at this time of year you never know in Alaska It doesn’t get much better than this Ooops, weather ahead. I hope the deer can take it Now what?? Let’s climb out of here Approaching Gulkana The landing was smooth, but boy oh boy, it will take days to get that smell out of the cabin again Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080
