Playing with the dev sky tools?

Featured Replies

Has anyone messed with the developer edit sky colors (from the top menu)?  You can sort of get rid of the funky sky colors if you select the radio options.  Orbit and Hi Alt look pretty good down low but the black sky above is not great using Orbit.

Also I see options for cloud density puffs but I can't seem to edit them.  And it appears my suscpisions were correct - about 100% cloud density.  No wonder fps are choking on cloudy weather.

Interesting will need to try that.

I only have FPS issues when I am in the cockpit and specifically looking or zoomed in on dials. Outside my FPS shoot up considerably. Also I noticed a 50% increase in CPU activity when inside the cockpit.

I would not waste time messing and experimenting with clouds since Ben wrote it's still a WIP and things are going to change .

Yep, I switched my sky to hialt and orbit because it looks less washed out. I haven't played with it further since as Desaix mentioned, it's going to be changed.
