December 9, 20169 yr Author Just gave this a try. Undocked a 2D panel, pulled it to my second monitor and resized it. The window went black, but FSXSE didn't crash or freeze and after I had right-clicked it, the window content was drawn correctly again. Hmm,maybe I'll check it out for a fourth time! Although I have just had my second terrain.dll crash. I am just about sick to the back teeth of all this. I've had more problems with SE in the past two weeks than I've had in all the six years with FSX. I'm now installing P3D 3.4 as I type! One more time... LOD=4.5. Sure, I hear what you're saying Bert. But I've used an LOD of 5.5 for six years in FSX with no problems whatsoever. December 9, 20169 yr Author OK.. but now you are at 6.5.. not the same  Hmm, OK, fair point. I guess I never really thought it would make such a big difference. A bit silly of me I guess. So back to 5.5. I run the NGX at 5. December 9, 20169 yr Increasing the LOD is a geometric thing... Every notch basically doubles the data.. Bert
