December 3, 200520 yr Anyone know what happened/I can't find the megascenary forum. hmmm..... Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
December 4, 200520 yr Bump anyone know? Trying to email PC Aviator but they're not exactly known for quick replies to emails.. -
December 4, 200520 yr The link is http://www.pcaviator.com/megascenery/forums/However as soon as I log in, I'm taken right back to the login page again... -
December 4, 200520 yr Noticed the same thing...it gone! Guess they got tired of hearing about the blurry texture issue (a FS9 problem, not their fault) and how large an area the Southern California V2 covers and how they lied about the size (again untrue).I would also pull down a forum if this were all I read...:-hmmm
December 4, 200520 yr I don't know. There was nothing wrong with the tone at the forums. Sure, there was a debate over the actual coverage area of their sceneries but noone turned downright hostile. Let's hope it's just a technical glitch. -
December 4, 200520 yr >...and how large an area the Southern California V2>covers and how they lied about the size (again untrue). That is yet to be seen. However, looking at the post about the coverage of other scenery volumes I'm not inclined to believe much they say any more. x(
December 5, 200520 yr Sorry, I was just getting into the site. I am getting the same as you.Cheers,Cam
December 5, 200520 yr Interesting thread.A bit off topic, but just to add to other comments about these products:This is the 3rd e-mail that I have sent since late September on this:"This is the third time I have e-mailed regarding this without yet a reply. Maybe I had e-mailed other addresses in the previous times.I ordered and paid for the SFO, Manhattan and NoCal mega-sceneries. The NoCal megascenery was back-ordered, as of September. I have not had any communication from you since, and am wondering if it is still back-ordered? I'm was billed for it on my credit card.Invoice# 14526ADate 9/7/05Customer 2707Could you please confirm what is happening? I find it unusual that a back-ordered product is billed prior to being deliverable, but maybe that's the way it is. The invoice states that it was all shipped, other than a hand-written "on backorder" on the hard copy- and the NoCal scenery never did arrive.Thanks- I saw a forum posting asking questions about the MegaScenery products/forum on AVSIM, but rather than complain there publicly I decided to try e-mailing once more.Thanks- Bruce.303-447-9324"It's been 6 days now since this latest 3rd e-mail. I'm not sure if they're still alive and well, or just ignoring my e-mails. The unfortunate thing is that although the invoice is to VMax (and that's who I have been attempting to communicate with), I ordered this from the AVSIM store.I don't like trashing vendors, and was trying to not post this here, but it just got the better of me I guess.Bruce. December 5, 200520 yr They have a phone number. I called once when I did not get an e-mail confirming an order and they were quite happy to assist me.XP Home SP2Asus P4P800-SE Intel 3.0GHZDDR 400 D/C 4x512MBLeadtek 6800GT 256MB (77.72)SB AudigyCH Products Yoke/Pedals USBSee you in the fence...CYYZ Al Stiff
December 5, 200520 yr Thanks- I'll try that, I'm sure there is a simple explanation as to what happened.Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
December 5, 200520 yr What narks me off about this is that I based a buying decision upon the figures quoted for one of their products. Now it seems I didn't actually get what I was told I was paying for.I posted another thread about this a few weeks ago but no one seemed interested :-http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=23193&page=2Unfortunately the link no longer works because the forum is now gone.
December 5, 200520 yr Well, that MegaScenery Forum warmed me up for purchasing their products. Now, with the cold shoulder, im not interested in their products, as i was before.Keyno
