December 4, 200520 yr Hi,all of a sudden an old Richard Probst 737-200 panel appeared in flightsim.com library. I didn't know it existed, so I downloaded it immediately. It seems, as it appears from the readme file, an old panel, and the instructions are definitely non existent. Is there someone who knows something about how to set A/T (if there is any) and how to manage various panels?ThanksFrancesco

December 5, 200520 yr I dont know if this will help you guys but when I had A/T issues I fixed them by enabling it in the aircraft.cfg. Look under the "autopilot" section. You will see lines like this (1=enable, 0=disable):autopilot_available=1 flight_director_available=1 default_vertical_speed=700.000000 autothrottle_available=1 autothrottle_arming_required=1autothrottle_takeoff_ga=1autothrottle_max_rpm=113.000000
December 6, 200520 yr Author Believe the original did not have autothrotle. As for autopilot, I wrote the manual on that one. I've uploaded it to AVSIM. You should see it shortly.Have fun.Dave Vega dv Win 10 Pro || i7-8700K || 32GB || ASUS Z370-P MB || NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb || 2 960 PRO 1TB, 840 EVO My Files in the AVSIM Library

December 7, 200520 yr Author You're welcome. Credit for the panel goes to Richard. I only authored the document. Sadly, Richard quit the flight simming hobby. I keep hoping that this is temporary.Have funDave Vega dv Win 10 Pro || i7-8700K || 32GB || ASUS Z370-P MB || NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb || 2 960 PRO 1TB, 840 EVO My Files in the AVSIM Library
February 22, 200620 yr Hey All in the forumI have download the " Boeing 737-200 " panel, by Richard Probst. I have put in the Aircraft folder and read the readme. But how can i use it in my 737-200 aircraft. Do i have to make a panel.cfg file or ?? Can some one help and perhaps someone have some exprience with this panel ?Maybe mail me a panel.cfg thats works with the panel ?My mail is: [email protected] best regards to you all from Denmark :-)Dennis
February 22, 200620 yr I was on a 737-200 kick a few months back and got pretty good a flying with that panel. There definitely seemed to be a "speed hold" feature that did not require any manipulation of the panel.cfg, am I remembering correctly, David? My copy of Richard's panel is the photo-real one he had done for the TinMouse 737-200 project way back when. I mean it has all the 2-D cockpit views, a wonderful depictions of the overhead, pedestal, etc.....it really is/was pay-ware quality. I'm at work now, but Ill post a few pics later tonight when I get home.http://www.graphics-free.com/animations/tr...ges/plane_6.gifAlex ChristoffN562ZBaltimore, MD PowerSpec G426 PC running Windows 11 Pro 64-bit OS, Intel Core i7 11700K @ 3.60GHz 30 °C, 4089MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 , ASUS TUF Z590-Plus Gaming motherboard, Samsung 870 EVO 2TB SSD, Samsung 750 EVO 500GB SSD, Acer Predator X34 34" curved monitor (external view), RealSim Gear G-1000 avionics suite, RealSim Gear GNS 450, Slavix Stay Level Custom Metal Panel, Honeycomb Alpha Yoke, Redbird Alloy THI, Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals.
February 22, 200620 yr It only works correctly with the 737-200 plane from the site below, it's halfway down the page, there are tons of repaints for it in the library. http://www.flydelsol.com/forum/delSol_stat...?page=downloadsDelete the panel that comes with that plane and unzip the Probst panel and put the entire contents of the panel.B732 folder in the panel folder of the 737 plane and it should work. If it's still not working than tell us exactly what error you are getting.
February 23, 200620 yr Author Alex,You are correct. The panel in question is the one that was part of the TinMouse project. The panel does not offer auto throttle. The earlier poster wanted to offer a solution on how to add auto throttle to the panel. February 23, 200620 yr There is no auto-throttle on the panel. However, it is pretty easy to use the autopilot and autothrottle from the Probst 727 to install one. Simply substitute the airspeed gauge, and autopilot, in the equivalent places, and add the autothrottle gauge from the 727 in the location of your choice. As noted in another post in this thread, you will have to enable the autothrottle in the aircraft.cfg file. You need not enable the autothrottle arm required parameter.DJ
February 24, 200620 yr I just saw a nice flight video of a New Zealand Flight crew flying an Air New Zealand 732 form ChristChurch to Wellington..no autothrottle...everything set by hand. Common guys, if you want to fly the 732 with this awesome panel, do it the way they did it then, by hand. http://www.graphics-free.com/animations/tr...ges/plane_6.gifAlex ChristoffN562ZBaltimore, MDhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/143080.jpg PowerSpec G426 PC running Windows 11 Pro 64-bit OS, Intel Core i7 11700K @ 3.60GHz 30 °C, 4089MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 , ASUS TUF Z590-Plus Gaming motherboard, Samsung 870 EVO 2TB SSD, Samsung 750 EVO 500GB SSD, Acer Predator X34 34" curved monitor (external view), RealSim Gear G-1000 avionics suite, RealSim Gear GNS 450, Slavix Stay Level Custom Metal Panel, Honeycomb Alpha Yoke, Redbird Alloy THI, Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals.
