December 4, 200520 yr I am a bit confused about landclass. When a airport scenery has landclass is the landclass supposed to go above or below the airport in the scenery list?PS: I did look at my other landclass entries, but some are above the airport and some are below the airport in the list.
December 4, 200520 yr Airport should have higher priority than landclass. Landclass is your "background" scenery.Michael J.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_744F.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_beta_member.jpg Michael J.
December 5, 200520 yr I think landclass is pretty much orthoganal to airport scenery. What's more important is the relative priority of multiple landclass files. For this reason I think it is probably easier to manage if the landclass files are segregated out into their own scenery areas. All the default airports and hopefully addons use some sort of textured terrain polygon that will be drawn over the landclass textures. The only exception might be if photo scenery tiles are used, but these replace landclass too. There is the further problem that if a texture subfolder is present "along side" a scenery subfolder with landclass files, all textures called by the landclass files must be contained within this texture folder, which is a bug as the design was to have landclass files look in world/texture for any textures not found in the local texture subfolder.Failure to observe this results in a memory leak which eventually locks up FS9.scott s..
December 5, 200520 yr Author An alternative to that would be to place all landclass files in a folder without a texture folder. This works very well.....Joe W.http://home.comcast.net/~raptor67/Joe_W/Joe_sig.jpg Joe Watson Lake Placid, Florida
