Ezdok not working in P3d

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I know this is better posted over on the SimForums, which is what I've done, but my experience over there is that replies can take for ages, so I thought I'd just throw it out here to see if anyone has any ideas.

I have recently uninstalled FSX-SE and am in the process of installing P3d from scratch. In my eagerness to uninstall Ezdok from FSX, I did so via the Windows control panel before following the correct uninstall procedure, as I understand, there are a couple of procedures to also perform, which I did not do. However, after installing Ezdok in P3d, I find it does not work correctly. eg, I cannot assign cameras to some of the buttons, camera views are not being saved, in fact lots of things don't work properly and it just seems confused. I have a suspicion that there are some original files from the previous install that may be causing problems. I would like to do a clean reinstall into P3d and so need to ensure I get rid of all files associated with Ezdok. Can someone please offer some advice as to where I need to look and what files I need to delete. Thanks fellas.

Hi Howard,

From my head  , you should start to look at your exe.xml in the appdata/LM/P3Dv3/FSX? folders and delete entrys from EZDOK.

Then camera.cfg entrys made from EZDOK/ezca and all EZCA folders as well including the one in /appdata.

Now there is a new version 2 on the market btw which is a great update

Get the Latest Ezdok v1, better still would be to upgrade to version 2

The last version of Ezdok 1 is in the link

http://www.simforums.com/forums/ezca-v1187-p3d-v3-available-for-download_topic53929.html

Make sure you have run Esca config tool and that you have the correct simconnect files installed, If not then run the installers in \Prepar3D v3\redist\Interface\

Make sure you are have set both P3D and Ezdok to run as Admin in properties > Compatability

What version of ezdok do you have?

It's the latest release of V1. Downloaded in November.

As the others said v2 came out last week which officially supports P3D. If you bought it in November then I believe your entitled to a discount and only need to pay around $12.50.

Follow the Dev's instructions on how to upgrade via this link

I don't think it's officially released yet on the flight1 website and can only be downloaded from the forum (above link)

That's of course if your willing to upgrade

Cheers
