pb9 is out

When trying to access the settings menu, the sim crashes to desktop every single time in PB9 for me...

Try deleting your prefs and then reload XP and see if the problem persists.

Yeah, that did the trick!

Thanks a ton!

Still no joy...

Now, the settings menu works, and I can prepare a flight, the sim loads until "finishing asynchronous loading" and then it crashes to desktop with the message about a missing sound bank.

I had a sound bank error today as well. Try rebooting first, a small update by Windows can influence it as I read elsewhere. And/or delete the master bank file in resources/sounds and have it reinstalled by running the installer.

Thanks a lot! Rebooting didn't solve the issue.

I'll try deleting and rebuilding the file!

Finally upgraded to PB9 yesterday and did a quick test at KLAX and EDDT since many were reporting higher fps. With World Object Density set to Maximum I was above 30fps where with pb8 and previous version I was bellow 30 fps ( 24 to 26 ). I'll make a proper test today.

After my first test I have to say that the fps is better and I'm able to maintain above 30 fps with World Object Density at Maximum, but there's this weird stutter present when I move my view.
