December 21, 200520 yr ...and turn it into an fs add-on?http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPreview/Index.cfm/ID/259811
December 21, 200520 yr 55,000 polys!?im sure the framerate police would love it. I think it's a pretty good model, but it's just the exterior. If it had a fully decked out interior, was fully animated, with 3d gauges, and it still came in around 40-50k polys...it might be worth 99 dollars.it's still got a few hundred more hours of work before it could be up to default standards in FS.it's a cool subject however.joe
December 21, 200520 yr :-)i appreciate the technicalities... but... well... the seed has been planted, the need identified. i'm sure bush pilots would love an old, underpowered M model on floats...joe, thanks for the wilga! tons of fun :-)
December 21, 200520 yr Carenado will be releasing a revision to their current 206 stationair with floats...I do believe.
December 21, 200520 yr I think the carenado team is the creme de la creme right now - I'd love to see their handywork with a classic cessna (personally and old 172 straight tail, but any of that ilk would do)...An update to their 152 would be ideal... December 21, 200520 yr Commercial Member Fabulous models, but did you check out the prices on some of the other offerings? I don't want to ever hear anyone complain about high FS aircraft prices again! :) Fermin Fernandez FSWidgets Developer Melbourne, Australia (UTC+10)
December 21, 200520 yr i've been kicking this one around, not on floats.. yet.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/136249.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/136250.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/136251.jpgjust started messing around in the VC today. I will replace the 2dgauges with 3d ones, once the code is finished.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/136252.jpgthis one's only 11,000 polys (so far) and you wont need a license cuz it's free. :-)later,joe
December 21, 200520 yr Well Happy new year to you too, Joe!!! [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
December 21, 200520 yr Joe...how about putting an alternative panel.cfg for Reality XP Flightline T gauges in that sucker as an alternative gauge set for folks who own those gauges? I'd be happy to do the configuration work.Eric AND
December 21, 200520 yr ...and just one [VCockpit] entry in panel.cfg! [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
December 21, 200520 yr I got to tell you I have just fallen in love with 3d gauges. The Wilga's were the 1st attempt at it, and we learned a lot. Im only going to use them where they're noticable. the attitude, alt., vs, things that really move. I will have space in the VC for 2d gauges, like radios, clocks, things that have little movement. I just set the 2d gauges in the above pic so i can get a feel for the layout. They are only temporary. VC smoothness will be of no concern. trust me.thanks gang, joe

I'd be happy to do the>configuration work.>>Ericsend me email and i'll make sure you get a beta and you can tweak on it all you want. I dont own those gauges so cant really be much help.I have an email ring where i send out copies of the beta, and guys send me "fixes" or upgrades. You are welcome to join, anyone is as long as i know you from the forums. (sorry a necessary evil) nothing personal, it's just not everyone can be trusted. Not that its some big top secert operation, its that I hate to have multiple versions of the same plane floating around.cuz i get ALL the emails. ;-)vintage_props at my msn account.later,jb
December 21, 200520 yr Joe, I've been absolutely drooling over this ever since you posted those pics in the BFU forum. I think I'm safe in saying many, many people are (or will be) looking forward to it. Add floats and it's the cat's meow. Very nice work!
December 21, 200520 yr >Carenado will be releasing a revision to their current 206>stationair with floats...I do believe.Amphibious floats, actually. I'd rather have straight floats...OK, I'd really rather have both. But amphibs is good.
