747-400 Company Configuation Files

Recommended Posts

Well, I can get you the LH configuration as I know someone who flies it. Can you post a generic config.ini file, as I don't have the 747 yet?

This is the one that comes with the ops center when installing the LH livery. It should be the generic one you wanted as it has no "panel options" from PMDG. I would also like to have a config file for LH please :)

Here is the .ini file: https://mega.nz/#!cdVEkCDT

Greetings Eddi

Thanks, good one!

I have a few small corrections:

LH has the 2500 callout, as well as the 1000 callout, as you can see here at 11:10 and 12:28

Their TCAS also has a range up to 7000ft at least as you can see earlier in the video.

Sigh, no that is incorrect.

One of the pilots will have selected the TCAS Airspace Switch on the Transponder Panel to either A or B rather than leaving it at the N (Normal) position which will enable the the TCAS system to prioritize the indication all of TCAS Targets on the ND above 'A' or 'B' below the aircraft beyond the normal 'N' parameters.

This is a useful airline specific technique during departure & arrival in busy terminal environments.

The N parameter on the TCAS panel ranges from 2700ft abv & blw the aircraft current position - this is the entry as entered in the individual aircraft cfg file.

The A parameter on the TCAS panel ranges from 2700ft abv to 7000 abv the aircraft current position.

The B parameter on the TCAS panel ranges from 2700ft blw to 7000 blw the aircraft current position.

Having scanned my set of manuals 2700ft appears to be the normal altitude range for the N or normal position range.  Quite why 2800ft has appeared in the default cfg is anybody's guess.

It is a matter of how you approach this I'd say.
LH in real life has a different transponder and TCAS software installed than PMDG I believe.
In our Queen we do not have the possibility to switch between above and below indications as we have the "simple" transponder installed.

We basically have the "all or never" option, by selecting a hardcoded range for the TCAS, with the transponder LH has installed they can select what suits their phase of flight best.

Hi guys,

If your airline config file is verified with real experience or real knowledge, don't forget to submit it to PMDG so it is including in the ops manager afterwards:

You must be actually associated with the airline in question and have access to the aircraft or its detailed records *currently.* If you are a customer who found an airline's FCOM online and made a config file using it, that is *not* what we're looking for with this. Many of the options do not show up in manuals, the manual you found may itself may be outdated, etc."

I'm not "currently" a Virgin active pilot, that's why I don't send my configuration to PMDG.

Hi,

My post was just to point out Ryan's post for those who didn't see it.

Yes I know, but in my case my file is verified by real experience and real knowledge, but that's not enough, they're asking for an active and currently airline employee, with immediate access to the aircraft. I understand their point, that's the proper way to get real and actual accurate configuration files.

Cheers
