That's not the fault of the live traffic app. It needs the proper models and liveries to work correctly. They can be scavenged from My Traffic 6, UT 2 and  also from freeware sites.

I know that... im not saying its broke or anything like that... im using UT2 and MTL as sources but still get a lot of default/generic liveries... Im just wondering if i can edit somewhere and stop getting this into the  simulator...

As you know, the process of setting up the app consists of first running the VMR Generator utility:

http://www.lekseecon.nl/VMRGenerator.html

and then checking the  VMR Generator output to see what liveries are missing. Then one has to hunt down those models and liveries on the Internet. The easiest solution is to have My Traffic 6, World of AI and Ultimate Traffic 2 (or UT Live) aircraft models all installed and searchable by the VMR Generator. The more choices that are available, the less likely it is that one will see mismatched liveries.

FYI: I generate a generic livery because most people like that better than a  livery from a different continent popping up. It also reminds you that you can do better with installing liveries. Apart from the sources already mentioned here, I'd recommend FSPXAI and FAIB. Other good sources are juergenbaumbusch and jcai

@Corinthians31: A short-term solution to get rid of all generic aircraft is to delete the lines starting with AIB, BOE and EMB from your AI_liveries.txt. The file is sorted by airline code, so this will not take you more than 30 seconds ;-)

Another thing Nico.. i saw that you recommend using MTL as a free AI model source. Some time ago Belyns (Youtube Streamer) had some strike on his vídeos cause he was using the IVAO MTL to fly unde VATSIM network. IVAO Staff said it was agains their policies (the whole story is in his youtube channel). I don't know if it could impact your work at someway but... just saying...

I will remove that (old) sentence from my Manual. It is up to the users to install AI aircraft. PSXseeconTraffic does not come packaged with AI aircraft.

I may have missed something, and if that's the case I'm sorry - but I'm getting a lot of errors for unable to create....Looking at VMR they all were added correctly with no errors, but the PSX log states that it could not create aircraft. I saw something about "activating" AI packages...where do I do that? I assumed everything was handled because they're packages from Traffic 360...

Same. Latest security update killed it. With the latest virus scare I would rather be protected.

Im lucky....I use a separate laptop for internet use...banking,,,ebay and alike...I noticed the latest security update and thought it would kill psxseecon again.

 

now were I have this prog is a separate compy just for p3d use sooo luckily enough ive turned of the security updates so I can keep on using psxseecon

Because the developer does not own a Windows 7 machine and does not want to fix the issue.   It is probably some minor issue of incompatibility that could be easily resolved.  

I wish this was payware so he would be motivated to fix to generate more sales.
