Would be nice to be able to find "runway surface" independent of the main airport type.

For example, I want to fly my float plane across Alaska.  Searching for "water" only brings up airports where "water" is the main airport type.  There are many airports where there is a water runway in addition to the main hard-surface runway.  These additional runways are reflected in your database, but there is no way to search for them.

In the attached screenshot is the example of airport PAEN.  There are 3 types of runway surfaces, but the search results will only find the "asphalt" surface, and not the "gravel" nor the "water".

First off, Awesome Utility!

I have noticed the last couple of days FSXmap seems stuck on

Loading airport data,
Please wait.

Is anyone else having this issue?

I have been using FSX Map for a few months on a Windows 7 machine. Today I tried to install FSXmapClient on my new Windows 10 machine and I get an error message that says:

SimConnect must be installed on your computer to run this application.

There are plenty of articles on Google about how to install SimConnect; all of them say to install it using a file called SimConnect.msi. I'm using FSX SE. There are four different SimConnect.msi files in these FSX\SDK folders:

FSX-XPACK
FSX-RTM
FSX-SP1
And one in a folder called lib

I've tried all four and am still getting the same error. Does anyone have any suggestions? My registered FSUIPC4 is working just fine and it uses SimConnect. I've already contacted Tommy, the FSX Map developer and he said he got some similar reports but has not been able to figure out what is the problem.

Any plans to get the FSXMap to work also with MSFS 2020?

Hi friends,

I created a page called FSXmap, which you can see here.  Its an interactive map with all 24000+ airports in FSX, with their runway data such as ILS, VASI and approach lights. Its plotted on top of Google maps.

Here is a screenshot of what it looks like:

You can also find a tutorial video here:

I use it to plan the flights, and hopefully you may find it useful too.

Any plans to make this also work in MSFS 2020?
