Another four hours yesterday...got P2D to load finally but Flyinside  never got past "Waiting for Simulator"

Went to FSX SE and actually got to enjoy the 15 minute trial. It was as real as it gets. Having once owned a Cessna 172 (no RG) it was like old times. Unfortunately, neither rudder pedals or toe brakes worked, throttle was the only lever on the quadrant that worked.

That was the only time I have had success. After trying for another hour to get another flight (reboot, Steam off/on, reload occulus, etc), I gave it up, unplugged everything.

It is now on the front porch waiting for UPS to collect.

I still have my "Vive" things and may give it another look...but not anytime soon.

Again, Thank you all for the time and efforts you gave my problems. Sorry it just isn't my day for VR

I was figuring it was heading that way. Shame.

I suspect you would have had much better luck with Aerofly FS2, since it supports VR right out of the box.

Oh, well. :-/
