Its hard to keep up.They aren't the only ones doing that. One project I've been working on for nearly a full year has undergone at least six revisions since I began work... Of course, since it isn't even certified (yet), that's at least a good excuse... :) Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
January 1, 200620 yr I Feel your pain. I took photos at the nearby airport to use in scenery design. That was maybe a year ago and someone pointed out to me that a canopy was not blue anymore but red. Maybe the guys that do vintage aircraft or scenery have found it easier to duplicate a point in the past than to try and remain current. Happy landings, Mike Eppright (KAAO)
January 2, 200620 yr I flew the five all over Europe for a year and then moved onto a Bravo. The five was great in its ability to climb high even when relatively heavy we often had her up at FL430 with 800 fpm above FL400.The old 2 which Im flying at the moment is a real drudge. you will be lucky to get higher than FL350 unless she is light and the climb rate is a pain. The Bravo is a delight. Not quite as fast as the five and difficult to grease on.The mains go on well but holding the nose off usually results in it crashing down as you loose elevator authority on landing.the thrust settings on the Bravo are completely different ranging from from 86% N1 to 90% N1 while the other older citations run from around 95% on takeoff to 104% cruise. Some people say the Bravo is just a new 2 but really for me it feels more closer to the five.Good luck with NetJets Peterhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/137520.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/137521.jpg
January 2, 200620 yr Thanks Peter, I'm looking forward to flying the Ultra and seeing some of those smaller airports the Citation can get into. Are those shots of the Bravo? The panel looks a lot like the Ultra sim I trained in except the annunciator panel was below the fuel gauge panel and had the RMU units instead of the com/nav stack in your pic.
January 2, 200620 yr I demo'd Citations for a couple of years(98-2000). There are so many changes between the II and Bravo that it was fun showing the Bravo to old II drivers. Happy landings, Mike Eppright (KAAO)
January 2, 200620 yr Yes its a Bravo I flew for about 9 months and was only a couple of years old. The owner has now desposed of her and I am hacking around in an old Citation 2. Not all bad ;-) As I am taking up a position on an HS125-800XP so type rating time again ;-(The Bravo has the Primus 1000 System fitted.Just through interest what FS business jet comes closest for you as none have the feel of the real as yet :-)the closest is the Level D 767 ;-) but of course numbers are all wrong and its way off being a biz jet:-)Peter
January 3, 200620 yr I haven't quite got the right model working yet, going to get it rigth some day though.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/137640.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/137641.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/137642.jpg
June 29, 201312 yr Hey guys. Anybody know if anybody is going to upgrade Cessna Citation Jets anytime soon for Flight simulator X? Like is anybody going to make a realistic Citation Bravo or a Realistic Citation Encore or Encore +? I am dieing to know. I currently have the Citation X by feelthere and The veneaviones Citation II and the veneaviones II is the only thing I consider closer to the exact aircraft or to an exact bravo. But there is a Bravo out there but it isn't realistic. I've been trying to convert the veneaviones II into an ultra or an encore by adding another window so it would have 7 instead of 6 on each side but I am not having any success with it. Any body know why? Also instead of me trying to fuss with this it would just be easier if someone would create a realistic bravo, encore, encore +. Isn't that what people are flying nowadays or at least upgrading to. Can anybody help me with why simulation aircraft creators keep making the old and not the new? Or is anybody doing that ? I would appreciate any responses very much. Thank you Connor

Can anybody help me with why simulation aircraft creators keep making the old and not the new? The last Citation Bravo was made in 2006 (much like the last post in this thread!). The Encore and Encore+ apparently are no longer made either.
