March 14, 20179 yr This is exactly what happened to me! I submitted a support ticket and received a prompt answer regarding this problem but unfortunately it didn't work. It had several steps but unfortunately when it didn't work I deleted it and ( Boy, it's hell getting old!) can no longer remember them. Try submitting a new Support Ticket regarding the exact same problem re: the popup window saying, "initialization of license library failed". Maybe it'll work for you. Good Luck! Frederick Coleman
March 15, 20179 yr Commercial Member This means FlexNet has been disabled, or is being interfered with by your anti-virus program. Start > All Programs > Type "services.msc" and hit enter. Find FlexNet and ensure it is set to Manually start (and not set to "disabled"). Kyle Rodgers
March 15, 20179 yr Looks like some overeager AVs can even outright remove the service, in such case you'll need to reinstall - not just repair - your 747, which will fix it. --Peter Fabian

May 23, 20215 yr I had this issue with the PMDG 747, using FS9, on Windows 10. There is a way to make it work, but if PMDG wants to PM me to give me permission, I can share how.
