March 26, 20179 yr OK, thanks for the screenshot ... strange building (and yes, its style looks like "default" X-plane artwork - so it might indeed come from default scenery). Especially as there is not even a bridge in that place (which might have a pylon in OSM marked as a high building ...). Strange. Can you possibly pinpoint the location of the building on a map? I checked it again (found the place you mean). I suspect, that building appears on "U Than Island":http://www.openstreetmap.org/way/108202815#map=17/40.74547/-73.96349 But, I can't force it to appear (I even checked all object density levels) ... hmmm .... might be some Autogen building which maybe only spawns under some rare conditions (we had something similar in XP10 years ago, when some extremely high buildings appeared sometimes ... but really only sometimes ... and other times you couldn't see them). By the way, are you already at the latest default mesh. We had the big default mesh re-cut lately ... Did you update all your mesh to reflect that (you need the latest installer from Laminar to get the mesh update option)? God knows when . Might be worth a bug report to Ben (and you can tell in the bug, that I can't reproduce it, but suspect, that nevertheless there is some autogen object which only appears - maybe - sporadically ... strange ...) One is add or remove scenery and the other is update scenery. I'm not at that computer right now, so it might be worded differently, but that's it... Doesn't say mesh, but I assume that the update scenery is the one... and yes, I used it... twice today. John John Wingold

John Sorry, I was not quoting the original wording ... just paraphrasing ... so of course, "update scenery" will be what you are looking for. This morning, I did the "scenery update" on it. Building still there. Again, I sent it to Ben yesterday with pictures. No response yet, but I thought you would like to know that even with this, it is still there. John John Wingold

I hope you sent it to the Bug reports and not to Ben directly. The latter approach is NOT recommended as it is not standardized and with the approximately 1000 similar mails flooding Bens box daily the risk is high that such reports completely get lost. If you use the Bug report, do not expect an immediate response ... but at least this way the issue is definitely documented (and is often looked at in combination with other bug reports ... ). PS: I still suspect that this is just one of many little autogen annoyances (where it works 99% of the time, but that 1% can cause a lot of "funny" side effects). March 28, 20179 yr I updated the scenery last Thursday, download only 3.7 Gb, checked again today and I have a 47 Gb download, wonder why this didn't happen last week. \Robert Hamlich/

I was in the same boat, only 3.6GB, but I haven't bothered to recheck that scenery. The way I see it, I may not need it so I'll save myself the huge download and bandwidth usage. The scenery I have currently, seems to fit the bill pretty well. And the next time you start the scenery update it will continue where it stopped. The whole update (just like the download) is happening on a file-by-file basis. So all the updated files you already have, do not need to be re-updated the next time you run the updater. It only needs to fetch files where you still have the old version.
