747 external sound

Featured Replies

hi all

im in love with this aircraft however i have one issue, When i go to an outside view or wing view etc i dont have the sound of the engines. when i am in cockpit view the sounds are beautiful and perfect but any external view i only have the wind noise

i have gone into the sim and fmc and ensured my headset is the sound receiver like i normally do for the 777 but this hasnt changed anything

i hope you can advise

I had this as Well. The engine sound was set to 0 in the control panel. Think it might be related to the new sound dynamics.

Just raise  it

Our aircraft does not modify the FSX engine sound volumes automatically, so if the value is set to zero then his has been done by another aircraft.

For optimal sound levels, please set the FSX engine sound setting to 50.

hi all

thanks all for your replies. My volume is actually still at 50 in the sound options in p3d so that hasnt changed. i have even tried to raise this to see if any different.

I also have tried viewing from the front or the back but it doesnt make any difference and the same happens when i am in wing view or engine view,

only sound i get is from cockpit of the engine

Sounds a lot like your sound settings in Windows are incorrect. Make sure they're set to your speaker configuration. If it's set to something like "surround sound" and you only have a headset, or two speakers, your sounds are getting routed to speakers that don't exist.
