new possible user - question about derates

Featured Replies

Hi. I got 777 and 737 from PMDG and I am amazed. Both are awesome aircrafts. I do use TOPCAT to calculate derates. I know there is also program called TOPER to get data for 777-300.

But how to get them for 747? Is there any software that will do the trick? Otherwise - how do you know how much to derate the engines on takeoff?

TOPCAT does the 747, too. It was the first aircraft that TOPCAT did, actually. Have a closer look at the program the next time you have it open.

Fun fact: Topcat DEMO does the 747 so you don't even have to buy it to try it out
