Hi everyone,

I was trying to figure out how to change the auto step climb size in the FMC options but couldn't figure. Its currently set to ICAO and at S/C the aircraft soars 4,000 feet to the next step. I think I need to set the S/C to RVSM. 

Would appreciate the guidance here.

I don't think "RVSM" is an option in the 747 FMC.

Simply set it to 2000 instead.

RVSM rolled into various airspace 1997. The 400 was introduced in 1989. There may be some software versions out there that'll take "RVSM" but unless there was some other major improvement, it was probably easier to just get crews to mash in 2000.
