Yeah, I removed it after thinking about it, as it very well may - in fact I'm 98% sure it does!  I'm due for a shared cockpit flight in the MD-80 this weekend, and I'll look for it and let you know.

i can't verify right now, but i'm 99% sure that you should get "FGCP ALT RESET" message

Guys, thanks for the follow ups.

I just completed a DTW-JFK and it did display Reset MCP Altitude before TOD OK.

I must have have clicked something at the wrong time or possibly Wx update .. don't know but it is not a Leonardo Maddog problem.
