Does anyone else experience VAS issues with FlyTampa's YSSY(Sydney) and the PMDG 747 QOtS while still at the gate? I have disabled most of the other Add-on sceneries except the UK2000, and the default sceneries yet have had a VAS shutdown twice at the gate.

Any pointers? Nothing set to max sliders. Does not happen at other airports.

I am not familiar with YSSY, but I can tell you I had VAS issues with FlyTampa's TNCM.  I play AirHauler 2 (great supplemental game btw) and there is a feature to inject/show your fleet at the airport they're parked at.  It just so happened I had 15 aircraft in my fleet and when the sim would start and I am sitting in cockpit in whatever airplane I would try to fly, as soon as I would try to switch views to look around, BOOM....VAS would peg out and thro the dreaded oom error.  I can imagine the PMDG isn't helping your case.  I tried turning down settings, but it was affecting too much, so I just turned off the setting in AH2.  I know this doesn't help you, but I do know FlyTampa has some pretty heavy sceneries.  Good luck!

If you have an Nvidia video card, install the latest drivers, and turn off shadercache for fsx in the profile. Another big vas hog is having duplicate afcad files. if you have mytraffic, or an old yssy afcad, find it and remove it from the scenery folders.

I had a similar issue in Sydney. I turned down AutoGen and that helped.  Also using their low-res textures available on their forum helped considerably. http://www.flytampa.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=7438

I'm experiencing the same problem when trying to land at that airport.

At approach, it seems that my graphic card try to reload large pieces of the scenery and at that exact moment, the VAS increase roughly.

Every Nvidia driver I try has a vas leak, including the latest. I am back on 376.33 and I can fly almost everything maxed and my vas in fsx steam is less than 3gb everywhere. Except in Orbx socal.
