Load Flightplan to Phenom300

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Just wondering if I'm missing something along the way, but is it possible to somehow load a FSX-stored flightplan into the Phenom 300's G1000 unit? Over time, I've managed to build a small collection of flightplans, and would like to 'load' them into the G1000,, i.e. not having to manually enter them into the G1000, with or without the Navigraph expansion pack.

Thanks for the help,

Mike

Hi Mike.

I wondered about that also, so I contacted Carenado. This is their reply..." It is not possible to save the FP created on the G1000, however, you can load FP created on the simulator's Flight planner or 3rd party flight planner.
This doesn't apply if you are using Navigraph extension pack, as Navigraph uses their own Nav Data. "

This leads me to think that it is possible to do it. However, I have been busy with RW stuff and with the online VFR club that I am a member of, therefore have not had a chance to try an FSX or PlanG flight plan. I do have the Navigraph extension pack, so according to Carenado I will not be able to save an FSX flight plan.

I take the view that the Phenom is a business jet and I intend to use it out of Edinburgh as a private charter aircraft flying to London and the European continent. In that respect I would be making a flight plan in the G1000 to suit each individual flight. However, if you already have FP's then I can see why you would wish to load them.

Regards...Ken.

HI Ken,,,

That news is very interesting... I also have the Navigraph Expansion, so are they saying we can do neither load nor save, or can we load the flightplan, but just can't save it? If the latter is the case, that would be fine with me, as I build my flight plans outside of FSX anyway, using SimBrief.

Did they give you any insight as to the process, as I can try working with it a bit this week.

Regards,

Mike

Hi Mike, sorry, no they did not. All they sent me was what I posted in my reply. I've been lax in working with the 300, although I have overcome my initial problems with the G1000. I'll find time to tinker with it later this week and try loading a PlanG flight plan. Keep in touch regarding your own efforts and I'll post back also with my results.

Best Regards...Ken.
