August 2, 20178 yr Hi, I have a problem with this latest version V 2.7.2.0 I have P3D V4 installed on Win 7 64 system with 16 Go RAM .. No add'on.. Anti virus disabled, no background application. MCE normally starts , detects the plane but freeze immediately P3D V4.. I can open modify and close MCE and the others softs on the desk but P3D is not responding.. I have tried with the different P3D's planes but no result.. Several times, i have un-installed MCE, cleared the directory Multi Crew in Program Files (X86) and Roaming and reinstall the new version by running "InstallMCE" and install the licence. I cheked the presence of files " fsInsider64.dll", "fsInsider.ini" and the MCE dlls in my Prepar3D V4 directory. I have also verified that the dll.xml load the good file "fsInsider64.dll" An Idea to solve this problem?? Regards,

The <MCE dlls> folder in \Prepar3D v4\ should contain 64 Bits dls. Do not copy that folder from FSX or P3D V3.4 installation. In-ininstall ME via Windows Control Panel. Do not manually delete anything. This time only must delete <MCE dlls> folder in \Prepar3D v4\ folder. Run InstallMCE again and check the installer has created a folder <MCE dlls> and it has many dlls inside it. One per supported complex aircraft. In the unlikely event installer didn't get permission to create folder or something like that, go back to unzipped downloaded file and open \Resources\Files\FSX\ folder. Copy folder <MCE dlls x64> and paste it to \Prepar3D v4\ folder, then rename it to <MCE dlls>. That should get you going. Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
August 11, 20178 yr Hi, The problem is solved. The installer had created a folder <MCE dlls> but, for some mysterious reason, the dll inside were not good. I have pasted the dll that were in the folder <MCE dlls x64> and now it works correctly.. Thanks for your advices. Regards,
September 12, 20178 yr Hi, just installed Prepa3d v.4 on my PC (different drive than FSX) and still run FSX. Is it possible to use MCE with FSX as well as Prepa3d? Which version of MCE would I have to download? Thanks Peter Peter Win10/64/32,0GB, [email protected], Gigabyte 1080ti, P3Dv5.1

Is it possible to use MCE with FSX as well as Prepa3d? Which version of MCE would I have to download? Thanks Peter Of course you can. Just need one MCE installation to C:\Program Files (x86)\Multi Crew Experience\ folder. It will then connect to any sim you run, P3D V4, P3D V3, FSX Steam, FSX boxed or even FS9. For P3D V4 support you need latest version. Download it here IMPORTANT: When done with upgrade, run the app wizard briefly. Start->All Apps->Multi Crew Experience->Run app wizard. No need for speech training. Among other things, the wizard will ensure various "dll.xml" files at edited to include reference to fsInsider.dll (fsInsider64.dll in p3D V4 case) so that the simulator loads our dll. Otherwise MCE won't be able to connect. Should be good to go with any simulator after that. No P3D, FSX or FS9 files are modified. Not even "panel.cfg" or "aircraft.cfg". September 13, 20178 yr Thank you. Should I uninstall the current version first? Peter Peter Win10/64/32,0GB, [email protected], Gigabyte 1080ti, P3Dv5.1

Un-install previous version via Windows Control Panel, add-remove features. Do not manually delete anything. Your custom flows won't be affected as they are in \My Documents\Multi Crew Experience\ folder. Download (save) latest, unzip and run "InstallMCE". Best to always install to default C:\Program Files (x86)\Multi Crew Experience\ folder. That way, there is no need to disable Windows UAC. Follow that with a quick run of the wizard, without going through speech training. Set "fsx.exe" and/or "Prepar3D.exe" to run as administrator for smooth communication between "mce.exe" and the sim executable. . Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
September 13, 20178 yr Did as recommended and MCE now works also in Prepa3d v4 (standard aircraft). As I use CTLR-key as communication when flying online I set [VATSIM] NotifyPTTstate=17, but the copilot is still recognizing my voice when Ctrl is pressed. Did work with my previous version. Thanks Peter Peter Win10/64/32,0GB, [email protected], Gigabyte 1080ti, P3Dv5.1

Thanks Peter Thanks for reporting this. Download this patch and replace a couple of files as per folder structure. The MCE implementation for P3D V4 works will all supported aircraft that made the move to 64 Bit. That includes PMDG 737 NGX, PMDG 777, PMDG 747 QOTS, iFly 737, iFly 747 and many others. Thanks Peter That option "NotifyPTTstate" in mce.ini is to actually check whether MCE is suspending speech. To add monitoring for that specific key, go to \Prepar3D v4\ installation folder and open "fsInsider.ini". Change VatsimPTT=0 to VatsimPTT=1 and save. Restart P3D and MCE, and the latter should be aware of that key. Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
