It points to something being screwy somewhere.. my system is way way below yours and not a stutter to be found with high settings. Drivers perhaps? or an unusual graphics card setting? There are a number of people reporting poor performance with really high spec PC's.. it points to something outside of P3D standard settings.

The dual cards maybe..

Ya maybe driver

Going to do a few tests

Darn it its annoying

Thanks for your input thou.

Stutters here and then slideshiw after 5 min

I7 4790k

2x titan sc 6gb each

Was fine in v3.4

I have the same problem, 3.4.22 works fin without problems, with the same settings I have stutters and blur. with v4 @1920x1080

CPU i7-7700k oc 4,6 (mult. 46,0 x 100MHz)   Noctua NH-D14 cooler
GPU MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Gaming X 8G V330-001R
MotherBoard: MSI H270 Gaming Pro Carbon Intel H270 So.1151 Dual Channel

RAM 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX schwarz DDR4-3000 DIMM CL15 Dual Kit

PSU Corsair CX750M

SSD 1000GB Samsung 850 Evo 2.5"

Number 1 nice thing: Graphics, especially on the plane are excellent - using nvInspector high quality with 1070 SLI. No 2 is great ground and #3 is smoothness.

Cheers

Still testing

Hi,

SSAA is causing low FPS and stutters on my system, so I am using 8XMSAA instead, and wow, great improvement...

Also, to avoid slow loading textures going sharps while flying over, put TESSELLATION slider at max to the right.

Yes, full coverage waterblock (I installed and checked proper coverage, pad thickness, mounting).  It's impossible to squeeze in a temp probe and I can't find anything that monitors VRM for GPU?

Cheers, Rob.

You're right, it seems that nVidia don't allow VRM temp monitoring, and as your's is a reference card I doubt there's anything available for that.

Power supply up to the job? Is it feeding power from different rails?

Also, in GPU-Z there's an option in the 'sensors' tab called 'PerfCap Reason'. Try running that whilst P3D is open to see what it says. Its tool tip shows the different reasons available (Power, thermal limit etc)

I'm also experiencing exactly the same.. My GPU (Titan XP) will boost up to 2100Mhz once loaded into the sim. Shortly after it goes down to idle clock speeds 1400Mhz. My GPU is also water cooled, running from 32-48c.

I updated to nVidia's 382.53 and the boost/OC problem has no resolved itself ... my boosting is now consistently high under high loads.

Cheers, Rob.
