June 15, 20178 yr I would love to hear the low frequency of these GE-90's with the 5.1 soundpack. Would it be possible to use it if I have a 2.1 speaker setup just so I can get those low frequencies coming from the subwoofer? Will sound potentially be routed to speakers that do not exist, and therefore make the whole thing sound odd? Probably. Kyle Rodgers
June 15, 20178 yr I have tried it and found that you loose certain sounds altogether. Also, I'm pretty sure the same dynamic range is available in 2.1 as 5.1, the only difference being the additional channel encoding. Dan Downs KCRP
