Install on drive other than C

Featured Replies

How do I install Prepar3D v4 on a drive other than C?  My E drive is a much faster drive, but I can't get it installed there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom

Make a folder inside your E drive called P3D and point the installer to that folder when prompted in the installer. Thats what i did and it worked like a charm.

What urgeflaske has just said ^^

When you run the Installer you will have the Option to Install Prepar3D to a different location, You can achieve this by clicking Options and Create and Name a New Folder and Install Prepar3D to the location of your choice

In your case, for Example:  E\Prepar3D v4

Unfortunately when it opens it always says it is repairing another installation on the C Drive.  As far as I can tell I have deleted all installs I can find along with any references to the program. I don't seem to be able to just delete the program  and start over.

Thanks for the support.

NO - you must UNINSTALL the program, not delete.

Run your current installer - let it repair the install where it is on the C drive.

When that's done, UNINSTALL it from the C drive

reboot

Install and select your e drive

go fly
