August 14, 20178 yr .As for the F35 the UK is waiting for them to use on the new aircraft carriers at this rate they could be the biggest white over priced elephants in UK defence budget, we have no harriers, there may be some tiger moths in museums we could practice with. Ray Fry. Raymond Fry.
August 15, 20178 yr Also, even if LM stopped developing P3D tomorrow - it wouldn't just suddenly stop working. FSX has been a development dead end for a decade, and yet here we are still seeing addons released for it today. I sometimes feel like people are actually looking for reasons to not enjoy themselves. If the logic of the prophets of doom in any way reflected reality, we'd all have packed in years ago when MS ceased working on Flight Sim and none of the addons of the last few years would exist. Again, those were all developed by the same company, LM Aeronautics is a different legal entity (read company) to the LM that develop P3D. There's really no need to further argue this point because it's not going to happen. If you don't understand the difference between a company division and a subsidiary, I suggest doing some business reading. Cheers, Chris Brand
August 15, 20178 yr Commercial Member What are we even talking about anymore...? I'm not even sure, and I don't see much related to the topics that should be here, so...I'm gonna close this one down. Regarding the OP's question, why would we release a new product about a month ago (the DC-6), and continue development on another product (the 748) for a platform that we had intended on dropping? Let's not start wild rumors here, please. We've been pretty clear about our directions through the years. Simply have a look at the pinned threads in this forum, and you're bound to see where we are headed with the various platforms well in advance. Kyle Rodgers
