August 12, 20178 yr Hello all, I have no idea whatsoever where this query should go and Moderators please feel free to move if necessary. I cannot imagine that this will be a long a protracted saga so I imagine it will stay here. Your call guys. I have gathered a few reputations recently (as far as I know all neutral) and all surprising. However, as a result, I was wondering just what the protocol is, or should be, when one gets a reputation. Do we PM the donor and thank them, obviously only if it is positive LOL. Should we acknowledge receipt in any other way. On the other side, should one decide to give (if possible) a negative reputation ie for unwarranted snide, cutting or abusive comments, is there a means of counter acting these or having them removed, through moderation. I have looked through the forums and can not find anything relevant, so, being mystified, I decided to put the question. Regards to all Tony Chilcott Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. The reputation system is a nice way of agreeing with another Forum member without having to respond to the post. 1 hour ago, himmelhorse said: On the other side, should one decide to give (if possible) a negative reputation ie for unwarranted snide, cutting or abusive comments, is there a means of counter acting these or having them removed The ability to give another forum member a Negative reputation was removed some time ago as it was being abused.
August 12, 20178 yr Author Elaine, Thanks for your input. I would like to just add that it would also be nice to give a reputation if you very much disagree with an opinion but it is presented in a fair and reasonable way. In any case, for those who have given me a reputation, I publicly thank you and will endeavour to pass on my gratitude via PM in future. Regards to all Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. I have way too many things to do and not enough time in a day to do it all, so that's the least of my concerns. Occasionally I may glance at it if I'm really bored.
