GNS 530/430 no were to be found in P3dV4

Featured Replies

OK. So I just DL and installed both the 430 V2 and 530 V2 this morning for FSX, (not P3D), and I have the same issue in FSX. So what is the proper path for the xml file for an FSX instaillaton?

Hi, in FSX, FSX-SE, P3D1 and P3D2, the menu is activated via the DLL.xml file.

On the other hand, the gauge is copied into the simulator "Gauge" folder.

typically in "C:\Users\[name]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\dll.xml"

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0">
    <Descr>Launch</Descr>
    <Filename>dll.xml</Filename>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad>
    <Launch.Addon>
        <Name>Reality XP GNS V2 Menu</Name>
        <Disabled>False</Disabled>
        <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
        <Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\Reality XP\GNS Simulation\FltSim\32\rxpGNS2_menu.dll</Path>
    </Launch.Addon>
</SimBase.Document>

NB: everything included within <Launch.Addon> and </Launch.Addon> is GNS V2 specific.

NB: other content is standard DLL.xml file content.

Got it done! Thanks!

Hi...

I had only Windows Defender Running and can confirm that the installer is not liked by Defender. You have to open select anyway. I both used single install to one p3d version or combi of both v3 and v4 in parallel. No difference. No files quarantined.

Cheers

Thorsten

@Torsen Thank you for the additional information. We're looking into this XML file issue, but the 'defender' warnings are unavoidable for now.
