I've taken my first flight from EHAM to EDDF after installing UT Europe. I'm very pleased about the way Allen and his team has changed my environment. Before I used to spend most my time flying in the US. The coming months I'll be busy exploring Europe! :-wave Cheers,GerhardPS: (by the end of the month I'll be splitting my time between VOZ 1.1 and UT Europe...)

Gerhard

Wow, this week has cost me a fortune. First, BEV spring :) Now, UT Europe :) And sometime this weekend PMDG 747-400F.:):):) Flightsim overdose. Oh yeah, love it.

Anyone know what the performance hit with this will be? I dont fly in USA so never tried any UT products before! Especially with the night lightning? Also from reading and looking at pics, it looks like you could completely remove Autogen??IanCeleron 2.5gigRadeon 95501gig RAM (and I hope UT europe works and ill buy it!)

Hey Tom,Have a look at the preview shots Cole took. Here:http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_post...?TID=15164&PN=4Browse around for more shots from Cole.Ian,It's always difficult to comment on frame hits because it is computer specific.Regards,Gerhard

Here comes some awesome Euro night flying. I've been waiting ages for this. Can't wait to slot this in under GE2K6.

I just wanted to say well done Allen for making another great product to enhance our FS world.I've just come back from Vacation and I'm thrilled to see UT Europe released.I also wanted to assue all users, either current or potential, that UT Eupope is in my opinion a MUST HAVE ADD ON along with UT USA. I personally wouldn't consider flying without UT.Also, to say it works just fine with default textures and our Ground Environment textures. So please everyone buy this product with confidence knowing it's going to be a blast and really add an extra level of realism to your flying. As for anohter post that mentions UT only covers 3/5 of Europe it's really a question of viewpoint. Every bit of Europe I've tested is covered by UT so maybe my idea of Europe is not the same as someboy else. What is important is that all the major areas of Europe that realistically, anyone is likely to fly in is covered. That thread got locked. Really it could have been deleted as it went a bit south. One thing I would say as a developer is this:It serves no useful purpose to slamb a new product at all. If you don't like a new product then don't buy it. In the case of UT you will be missing out on something very special but that's your choice.

1) It's a huge download, 1.41 gigabyte.2) Server was beginning to slow down, so it took about 3 and a half hours on my cable modem.3) Buying and installing went well, until I got a "false positive" from my virus and spyware scanner. This promptly killed the entire process, and I had to go through a reinstall. 4) The entire software ate up about 9-10 gigabyte. So you better have lots of harddrive space. 5) Cranked everything up to maximum via the ut europe manager. 6) Took a flight. 7) Noticed a very large improvement.8) Didn't notice much of a framerate hit. 9) Recommendation: Buy it. ricardo

I have had a couple of flights in the UK with it now. Both day and night flights and can see no signifigant frame rate differences from before. Great product!

http://www.simforums.com/forums/uploads/Co...070604_wien.jpg(one of cole's shots from f1 forum)it looks very promising. although i noticed on some of his screenshots that the autogen houses and textures are not always aligned to the streets, like in UT USA if i remember correctly. can anyone guess what product he used to get this nice and dark water ? my water always looks too bright and unnatural, in overcast it almost looks brighter than the sky.regards, tom.

Tom,Cole stated that he used default ms textures for his shots except runways and roads. (and water...??) Please correct me if I'm wrong, the default textures don't let the autogen line up as BEV or GE does. The water I get is quite similar as in Cole's shots. I have the BEV water.Regards,Gerhard

i guess you are right Gerhard. the water on BEV pages looks the same. now where do i get these water textures from ... i dont need their ground textures. maybe somebody knows a freeware version for look-alike water colors ?http://www.flightsim-bevs.com/index.php?op...&id=7&Itemid=56regards, tom.
