The RXP and Flight1 GNS gauges are basically interchangeable. However, the DA40 may need some work to replace the existing GPS.. no support is listed for a 3rd party gauge that I can see.. Having said that, I cannot think of one good reason for buying the Flight1 GNS.. the RXP is the clear favorite Edited December 8, 20205 yr by Bert Pieke Bert
December 8, 20205 yr I have always shown better performance with the F1 than the RXP on my system. I own both.

December 8, 20205 yr Thanks Gentlemen, it seems the RTX has a slight edge over the F1. @ Bert, the Alabeo DA40 supports the RXP GNS430, although the alabeo-homepage doesn't clearly state this (anymore?). I just tried to purchase the RXP GNS 430. Does anyone understand why the strange 1996-era e-commerce installer requires me to create an account at flight1.com? Is there an alternative way to purchase the RXP? - Didn't find anything. Thanks, Frank

I think it's because Flight1 no longer supports the Flight1 wrapper or Serial Keys (which i find weird since other 3rd party companies like RXP still use the Flight1 wrapper), rather Flight1 became like ORBX where you buy products on an account and so you can manage your product through the Flight1 Agent. Things like installing/resetting activations and updating are done through the Flight1 Agent, without having to redownload the wrapper, then put in your .key file and password, then redownloading the installer.

RXP still uses the Flight1 ecommerce wrapper.... Just do whatever is asked from you and install in the default location. Send me a PM if you would like newer navdata for your 430.. 😉 Edited December 8, 20205 yr by Bert Pieke Bert
