Hello so I am trying to do a flight from Telluride to KLAX in the 737-600 but for some reason cant get the autopilot to engage after takeoff. I have flown the 737 before and know how to setup the FMC and the MCP so that the autopilot will work and have completed many flight before. However the last few flights i made which were out of KTEX I couldnt get the AP CMD button to come on. Also the LNAV button lit up when I clicked it but couldnt get the VNAV button to come on. I eneterd the correct ZFW and fuel loads and other info in the PERF INT page and made sure the autothrottle switch was on as well as both Flight Directors. Any ideas why it might not be working?

Since you have done autopilot flights many times before, please forgive me for asking this.......did you EXEC the flightplan after you entered it?

Welcome to the forum. Please note that full names - first and last - are required to be in your posts (either with the auto-signature set up in your user settings, or hand typed).

As far as your issue goes, have you flown the tutorials? There's not a lot of information in your post for me to go on, regarding your procedures.

Thanks, I did make sure to execute the flight plan and had all the info show up on the legs page for waypoints and what altitude/speed to cross at.

I looked in my account setting and entered my signature but i didnt see it come up in my reply how can I set it to automatically add my signature?
