November 18, 20178 yr I have moved on to P3D v4.1 and have the NGX installed. I do not use the default ATC in P3D. Since flying the NGX, I keep hearing the Morse code for the Localizer ( I guess) when I am starting my approach. I don't remember having that previously and was wondering if I can mute it? Thanks Hey Buddy, that's an identifier code. Pilots use it to confirm that they tuned into the correct navaid frequency. Once the station is identified, you turn it off using the appropriate 1-nav-2 button on the radio select panel beneath the nav radio. Edit- there is also a code that you hear when overflying the marker beacons, you use those to verify your altitude at those positions on the approach. That one is turned off by clicking the MRKR button on the same panel. Jose A. November 18, 20178 yr Author Yeah, I figured I borked something in there with a stray mouse click. Now off to find that pesky bugger and take a hammer to it. Thanks. November 23, 20178 yr Some airports eg Gatwick use the same ILS freq for either end, 8 or 26 so its a good idea to confirm via morse that you are indeed tuned to the runway you intend to land on. Len Carne
