Dear friends

Something wierd happend a few days ago, (I had not installed any new addons...) and from one day to the other, all of a sudden the key assignments all reverted back to default (?)

I can change them to settings I prefere, fly a session like "normal", but when I close P3dV4, open it up agaiin for some flying... the key settings and my previus setting are all "gone" and back to default...

Please help me, I cant figure out what this problem is. So, Dear simmers... help me to find a solution for this

You are not the only one. I had the exact same thing happening to me a couple of days ago.

Unfortunately cannot help you in solving. I never found the cause but I always have a backup of the last working version of my sim so I just reverted.

I had the same problem and opted for a quick & dirty work around to make sure my key settings will not be changed by any program: I changed the file properties of the %APPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Controls\Standard.xml file to read-only.

The standard.xml as well as the prepar3d.cfg are files that are looked at everytime P3D starts or shuts down , if for any reason P3D fails to do a clean shutdown they could become corrupt , then P3D will create a new pristine one ..

Maybe PD3V4 is crashing during shutdown causing it to refresh the XML with your settings.

Can you check the operating system events to see if PD3 is crashing, if it is post the log to see if we can identify why.
