CaptainSim 757 update 1.1...

Featured Replies

I must say the latest update to CS's 757 has made this 'lite' version of the 757 much more enjoyable. Not a bad job CS, keep up the good work and correct the lingering issue (AI lighting at night in the VC)... :-beerchug Things of interest that we're improved:1. Fully clickable VC (most critical overhead switches now work).2. Much better framerate performance in the VC.3. Improved sounds4. 2D panel no longer included (yet one is offered as freeware) which I would guess plays a part in the better framerates I'm getting in the VC after the patch. There are many more improvements that effectively prime this aircraft for the Block F version that I'm eagerly anticipating... :-)

Hey Chris much of what you say is true but I don't agree when it comes to the sounds after update 1.1... For example, wind noise has been turned down to a point it's barely audible in flight...

Have they fixed the flight dynamics ? For example, try various degrees of flap, reduce the airspeed slowly to enter the stall, the thing then takes on a mind of it's own and does a little jig and a dance all over the sky. Not quite how I remember my days on 757-200's.

I cant get the speed gauge to display in the cockpit, anybody have any ideas.. I tried poking around at their forums, but no one has reported this yet that I can see.

Ashleigh Davidson you flew on a 757 that actually stalled??? :-eek :-lol Please share more details with us as I'm having a hard time believing this...Gdavis0101 I haven't noticed a problem with the speed gauge... :-)

Good morning everyone. What was done to improve FPS in VC? The reason I ask is, I saw nothing in relation to that on thier website. I have had this plane in the hanger since day one because of the huge hit. If there is noticable improvement, then this is great news! Thanks!

He probably meant stalling the simulator and getting the stick shaker.

I have no guage displayed for the vertical speed indicator or the airspeed indicator, just black holes... I have installed it twice and the end result is always the same.

Gdavis0101 you are having some serious problems man... :-lol I have virtually no black holes in the VC. I'd suggest uninstalling and reinstalling then check your display settings to test if there

Is anyone here seeing much better FPS as I asked earlier?? I really didn't want to go reinstall it unless this was corrected? The original release had my system on its knees. I even changed the pixel size in the VC panelcfg to 512 and that helped alot, but made some gauges not load correctly. I hope there is a yes awaiting me as I love the plane's VC. Thanks again.

yes, lots of people are seeing huge fps improvements including myself

Thanks for the reply. I am going to try the updated version. I am keepin my fingers crossed. Thanks again spookymufu.

Well, I feel kind of stupid! I forgot that I had the virtual cockpit set to low, that is why the guages wouldn't display... ThanksGene
