KMCI and KSTL

Featured Replies

Greetings all.I must be losing it, but i could have sworn that payware developers had made KMCI and KSTL for FS2004. However my searches on the internet are coming up fruitless.Does anyone know of any good payware (or freeware, if they are good quality) versions of these airports?I already know of gary Widup's KSTL, and I have it downloaded, but I thought there was another version out there as well. I got interested in these two airports with this month's Round Robin in Computer Pilot magazine. Thanks for any information.

Ears burning? er, huh? :) Must be an inside joke.Well anyway, I wonder if any KSTL scenery includes the new runway 11/29, which just had it's first landing the other day.Rhett

Oh did it? Awesome. I didn't even know they added a runway.Aye, for those interested, the Computer pilot Round Robin takes a Southwest Airnines 737-700NG:KDAL - KSTL - KMCI - KDALThe author, Al Pelletier used the PMDG 737-700NG, though when I figure out about airports to add-on scenery-wise first, I'll be using the feelthere 300 on the route (Southwest uses those as well, still).

heheh so I see. I just poked around the forums from your sig link and saw the development of KSTL. THAT must be where i remembered mention of a "payware version of the airport". Too bad it won't be out for quite a while yet -- planned to do the Round Robin this upcoming weekend.

FYI I just saw a new KSTL add-on that specifically added the new runway. Check the library.Shez

Yes. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch newspaper had a big pic of an airliner landing on the runway. The big story/scandal on 11/29 at KSTL is the thinking that the runway is not needed anymore. KSTL is no longer a TWA or American Airlines hub, so there is actually LESS traffic there than there was a few years ago. They tore down a lot of neat places to build that too.Rhett

I saw the new add -- I snagged it. I was looking for more physical scenery first than just the runway. Thanks, though :-)

I am almost always for airport expansion, but that is sad to see that an airport expands then majors pull out. If only these bloody fuel prices would go down, a lot of the cutback issues would be resolved.
