December 22, 20178 yr I haven't flown the Q400 in well over a year. I installed the latest update for the Q400, and everything works perfectly. After a couple of days I decided to start using FS 2 crew again, so I updated that to version 3.2 Bundle. I just want to use button control. The first time I tried it, it worked, but I noticed I could not close down the main screen, which I think I was able to do a year and a half ago. I finally clicked the lock button on the main screen, and it disappeared, and will not reappear no matter what I do. I uninstalled FS 2 Crew and reinstalled it with admin permissions and UAC and AV off. No difference. I then looked at the panel cfg for the Q400 I see these entries in the cfg file. I tried assigning different keys and buttons via P3D Version 3.4 such as C, N, and joystick keys to Alt static source, and nothing works. When it did work the very first time I tried it, I got the main menu bar, the voice announcements, check lists and everything. Now it just won't start again. P3D is also running with admin permissions. December 22, 20178 yr Author Had it working for about a minute, shut down P3D, restarted and it doesn't work again.
December 23, 20178 yr Author Tech support got back to me today, and the command in the instructions is not correct. To start you should assign the Main Button one command to Auto feather using the N key rather than alternate static source which is stated in the instructions, but doesn't work. Not sure about the secondary button setting yet. Anyway, I can start FS 2 Crew now.

I thought that only two buttons need to be programmed, but actually three. One to open the panel ( which I thought was the main button as mentioned in the setup instructions) which is Autofeather. Then the Main Button and the Secondary Button for controlling the checklist once the panel is already open.which are Alt static source and Prop sync. Anyway, it is working perfectly now.
