Did you use the same ortho source, or one of the other providers?  I used USA_2 and I've rendered from New Mexico, and up the west coast all the way to Vanvouver Canada.

Great shots....#5 is the long Valley Caldera roof....#6 Mammoth ski slopes is actually a lava dome!

Used BI bing but began trying USA 2, haven't loaded XP yet.

I used Bing for the same scenery once but I found the colors too vibrant, I prefer the more subdued colors I fly with USA_2. they just have a softer look and for me seem to blend with Xplane's atmoshpherics better.  Also when I fly from places with stock Xplane scenery into the photoreal scenery. the transition is very smooth.
