April 30, 200620 yr standard PSS. Good enough for me.But I rarely use it anymore, preferring older birds like the 727 and DC-3.
April 30, 200620 yr Ditto. PSS gives me all the bus goodness I need. Regards, Max (YSSY) i7-12700K | Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB 3600MHz DDR4 | Gigabyte RTX4090 24Gb | Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE DDR4 | Corsair HX1200 PSU
April 30, 200620 yr still getting to know her, so for now using the FS GPS as a moving map while doing VOR navigation.Planning to install a dual INS system at some point.
May 1, 200620 yr I also use the PSS mostly but have used the IFDG with Eric Marciano or Ken Mitchel's panel in the past. Never did merge the PSS panel with IFDG.That should hold me over until the PMDG comes out.Regards, Carlos
May 1, 200620 yr I use some iFDG A320 with Ken Mitchell's panel with a texture for the night lighting made by Jun182 (Yoo Sang Jun) the file is lightsa320.zip.I also have the full PSS A320 as well as the rest of my iFDG A320 with Eric Marciano's.I find myself returning to my Kevin Mitchell's config a lot more often than the other two.
May 1, 200620 yr The best looking FS2k4 Airbus A320 series (VC included) can be found in this package from Overland... :-)http://secure.simmarket.com/product_info.p...roducts_id=1881
May 1, 200620 yr Author I agree...We finally have an A320 built specifically for FS2k4 (with all the basic features included). It may not be hardcore but just like CLS's birds it'll hold us over for now (until Feelthere and later PMDG's offerings). All we need now are repaints for these birds. May 2, 200620 yr Didn't know this was out. Do all the models have virtual cockpits? Are the vc sharp (textures) and frame rate friendly like the MD11?
May 3, 200620 yr For online flights I use the PSS panel merged with the iFDG model with iFDG flight dynamics apart from the A330 and A340 which use Bob Scott's FDE revision. Plus each aircraft has one or two extras from the avsim library like Rob Barendregt's pushback and taxi gauge, a rolling distance gauge and flight number board. Tested aircraft are a combination: from pure PSS to various merges to the odd one or two with Ken Mitchell panels. One thing that I never managed to get working well was the Eric Marciano panel.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual [email protected]http://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk
May 3, 200620 yr Notice that this post has 570 views as of now? That's a lot of interest in Airbus.billg
May 3, 200620 yr Nothing. Why? I just can't find a good package to fly. When I'm not flying GA, I enjoy flying 737s or A320s. I'll fly any short to medium range airliner. I like the IFDG model and the FDE, but I have not been able to find a suitable panel for it. Every panel I try has some sort of issue. Either some function doesn't work, or there isn't enough visibility to see over the top when landing (fairly important). I do own the PSS A320, but haven't flown it in quite some time. I tried a merge with the IFDG model, but I had some sort of issue with it. Ultimately all these different panels and merges end up leaving me frustrated, so I go back to my trusty PMDG 737. It works great and I don't have to worry about it. Although I would love some variety, and a good Airbus would fit that need perfectly. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
May 3, 200620 yr Author "Didn't know this was out. Do all the models have virtual cockpits? Are the vc sharp (textures) and frame rate friendly like the MD11?"From what I've seen the answer is 'Yes' but my copy hasn't arrived yet... :-)"We finally have an A320 built specifically for FS2k4 (with all the basic features included)."Just to clear this up, the Overland products don't have FMC's or MCDU's. Like I said above these are 'lite' aircraft non-hardcore. For the purpose of having a great visual model with VC's included these aircraft are great. For those of us who like a more Hardcore experience, we have quite some time to wait until these add-ons materialize.
