Trees blocking the runway at BZE

Featured Replies

Why are there trees blocking the ending sections of runway at BZE (default scenery) and how do you get rid of them?

Do you have any other addon scenery for that area?

If no other weird addons causing the problem, then break out an axe and chop 'em down.  Better

still, look for a program in the File Library called "Lumberjack".

That didn't work. In order to have you possibly understand my issue better, here's a screenshot.

They are in my default Belize City also.

I just used a program called Airport design Editor that can be found over at the FSDeveloper website to create a "Flatten/Exclude Autogen" Polygon around the entire taxiway/runway/ramp perimeter and it removed each and every tree.

The reason I added the "flatten" (which isn't necessary to remove the trees) was because the 25 end of the runway disappeared for me in to the landclass.  I could see the lights at night, but not the runway surface.  It was below the land class.  Now the whole runway appears.  Plus it leaves the trees in place on the approach and to the sides which makes it a kinda cool approach to fly.

By the way, took me forever to figure out BZE was MZBZ in Belize.  I don't do three letter codes well.

I just took a shot of BZE (MZBZ)  Belize City airport default scenery.  No trees on runway or taxiway.
